Chicago sports are such a exciting thing to watch and Chicago is home to many exciting professional sporting events and is one of the thirteen cities in the U.S. to have teams for the four major professional sporting events which are:
I love sports and have played them ever since I was old enough to understand how to play any of them. I enjoy playing all four that are listed above, but baseball was the only one I was actually on a team. I did that for about 9 years. Chicago baseball is a great time.
The Chicago Cubs and the White Sox are Chicago's baseball teams.
The Cubs are on the North side with there venue being Wrigley Field and the White Sox are on the south side with there venue being U.S. Cellular Field.
Chicago is one of five metro areas in the U.S. that has two Major League Baseball teams. I would say I’m more of a Cubs fan, but of course if the Sox won then I would still be happy for a Chicago win.
The Cubs play at Wrigley Field, which was built in 1914 and will be playing host for the 101th season in 2013. It's also the 2nd oldest ballpark in the major’s right behind Fenway Park in Boston (1912).
I love spring time in Chicago because that's baseball time, and watching baseball on a nice day can be a fun time for everyone of every age.
The White Sox won the World Series Championship in 2005 for Chicago and it was very exciting (even though I’m a Cubs fan).
The Sox play at U.S. Cellular Field which is owned by the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority. The Park opened 1991 season after the Sox spent 81 years at Comiskey Park.
Both U.S. Cellular Field and Wrigley are very entertaining ball parks with plenty of food and drinks, including the greatest Chicago food, the hot dog. Also between the innings, little games and contests are held to make the experience even more enjoyable.
The Chicago Bears are Chicago's football team. They play at New Soldier Field which is one of five total homes the Bears have had.
The Bears won the Super Bowl in 1985 with a seasonal record of 15-1 and then went on to win it all with no problems, not letting the other teams score at all for the first two playoff games. The final score for Super Bowl game was 46 to 10 over the New England Patriots.
I never played football on an actual team, but I love playing football at a park or something. But watching a live game is always a fun experience, especially if your team is home and Chicago sports has some of the best fans in all there sports not only football.
Out of all the Chicago sports, I enjoy watch hockey the most. I love the fast pace of the game and some of the impressive moves and goals some of the players can do.
The Chicago Blackhawk’s is Chicago's hockey team. They have won five Stanley Cup Championships and thirteen division titles since 1926, which is when they were founded. In 2013, the Blackhawks won their fifth Stanley Cup after defeating the Boston Bruins 4-2 in the series.
I watched the entire playoffs and the championship games and it was jump up and down exciting when they won. Both teams put on a great show and made it exciting throughout the 6 games that were played.
The Blackhawks play there home games at the United Center, which is a great time becuase the atmosphere is so electrifying. If you enjoy hockey, you will love a Blackhawk’s hockey game.
The Chicago Bulls are Chicago's basketball team. They play there home games at the United Center were the Blackhawk’s also play.
The Bulls were founded in 1966 and has won 6 Championships all lead by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and coach Phil Jackson.
Of all the Chicago sports there are I love playing basketball the most, but watching it is something I never do. Only if is playoffs then I might watch it, but that’s just me. Probably the best time to have watched the Bulls was when Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen played.
They were amazing players.
Chicago is also home to the Chicago Fire, Chicago's soccer team.
Throughout 10 seasons the Fire have always been fun to watch and always give there fans something to cheer for. They have won 5 domestic titles, 4 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups and an MLS Cup Championship.
The Fire play all there home games at Solider Field where the Chicago Bears also play.
Soccer has always been something I was horrible at, but watching it is very enjoyable and almost as fast pace as hockey.
The Chicago sports are definitely a fun time no matter which sport you like, you will have a blast whichever event you chose.
